To say that Nick Jones, an instructor in the Brewing and Beverage Management program at Central New Mexico Community College, is an enthusiastic cheerleader for the craft brewing business in New Mexico would be an understatement.  Leading the Facility Manager Association of New Mexico’s crew of three dozen denizens of drink through the inner sanctum of the Bosque Brewing Company in Bernalillo, his passion for the industry bubbled over like the thick foam on a finely crafted and correctly poured porter.

A state-of-the-art brewing laboratory to teach CNM students the art and craft of fermenting fine beers, ales, and seltzers are currently under construction, slated for completion in the fall of 2022.  Here students will master the basics to enter the growing field of microbrewing.  FMANM’s scholarship contributions to the trades—plumbing, electrical, building controls, and HVAC—provide assistance for the technicians in this program as they attend the state’s largest two-year college. Special thanks to Pluma Construction (who brought their whole team to the event) and to Tim Woodward, Bosque’s head Brewmeister, for their support and spirit.  And thanks to Mother Nature who provided a temperate open-air backdrop, the perfect late spring in New Mexico, drinks-on the-patio weather.  Cheers!
